10 มีนาคม 2553 มูลนิธิขาเทียมใน สมเด็จพระศรีนครินทราบรมราชชนนี นำโดย รศ.นพ.เทอดชัย ชีวะเกตุ และครูบุญอยู่ ทิพยะ ได้นำคณะและเครื่องมือมาจัดทำขาเทียมอันใหม่ใหักับช้างพังโม่ตาลา และช้างพังโม่ชะ โดยจะมีพิธีมอบในวันที่ 13 มีนาคม 2553 ซึ่งเป็นวันช้างไทย
